Sunday morning before Sunday school:  tour of church

Sunday morning:  Sunday school with parents class on life in Guatemala/family life

Sunday morning:  Greetings to congregation as sermon from all four reps

After worship welcome coffee reception on the plaza

After reception, lunch and meet with youth

Special PW gathering with Rosa Marina?

Others – tour of Better Space projects – with contractor, architect, and Better Space reps

Evening with host families

Monday, October 6

9:45 a.m. Visit Cedar Ridge - walking tour with Andrew Hartmanns

Lunch at Claudia Sanders restaurant or Mexican restaurant (their choice) in Shelbyville

Visit with Phil Lloyd-Sidle at Center for Women and Families Shelby County office

Afternoon – relax/debrief at Fireside Room

ELL supper

Participate in ELL beginners’ class

Tuesday, October 7

Visit Salvation Army

Lunch at Santa Fe Mexican restaurant near Churchill Downs

Visit La Casita

Supper at church 

Bible study/partnership discussion at CHPC

Wednesday, October 8

Visit Presbyterian Center:  Meet with Gradye Parsons, Andrew Kang-Barlett and Presbyterian Hunger Program staff, Ellen Sherby and World Mission staff, and Maria Arroyo’s replacement

Participate in Wednesday 9:00-9:30 AM service

Lunch at the Center – with CHPC Center/downtown folks

Visit Lincoln statue and walk back and forth on Big Four Bridge, with Schimpf’s

Later in the afternoon – debriefing/relaxing at the Fireside Room

Prepare food and eat with ELL supper

Participate in Outreach Council meeting:  re: partnership and theological education

Thursday, October 9

Visit seminary and presbytery office –

Meet with Peggy

Meet with Tony Aja

Attend 11:30 a.m. chapel service

Lunch at seminary – partly with CHPC-related people – students, faculty, etc.

Thursday afternoon – UCHM visit

Later Thursday afternoon - debrief/relax at Fireside Room

5:30 p.m. pizza/discussion:  church/spiritual life in Guatemala/their faith journeys

Participate in Spanish classes at Highland Middle School

Lunch at Havana Rumba at Douglas Loop

Visit Louisville Slugger factory/museum – get bats
