Important evening

Ever since we started working on this partnership between the Estoreno Presbytery and Crescent Hill, we´ve tried to steer the partnership away from anything that involved money, away from the partnership involving a transfer of money from us to them, especially at the beginning. In our discussions about partnership in the past 24 hours (this morning´s discussion pictured above), this issue has started to move more sharply in focus. (How official and well defined has also emerged as an issue.) At a discussion tonight the discussion will continue. Having said that, we´ve had a series of great discussions and activities. As tired as we are, we are both apprenhensive and excited about this evening´s session. Please keep the six of us, our partners, and our process in your prayers. Thursday we are scheduled to go on a day trip to a waterful area one or two hours away. We´ll know more by then, as we await the work of the Holy Spirit - in partnership with the creativity, insight, and energy of the 13 of us - this evening.

  1. sounds like it is getting real! sorry to miss getting my letter to you Perry... This comment is likely too late to be of help, but my suggestion is that when it comes to money we help them think of "resources", as in "what resources are needed to make xyz happen?". By helping to break it down, they may realize that local resources are very relevant. What role do we gringos have in resourcing? (organizing, hustling, raising visibility, brow-beating, acompañando)
