We´re here! Several high points of the trip so far have involved reunions:
- a reunion with our lost mission team member, Ana, who was one of half a dozen Crescent Hill folks who sent us off at the airport
- a reunion with Andrea, who due to my mistake got stuck no a different (and bumpy) plane than the rest of us, but successfully reunited with us in the Guatemala City airport
- a reunion with mission co-worker Roger and fellow team member Ellen, whom Lowell and I didn´t see for some 20 minutes at the airport
- a reunion with our Guatemalan partners (almost all old friends now: Antonio, Armando, Fidel, Gerardo, Jose Domingo, Maria, and Marta (and two kids)), who it took half an hour or so wandering around Coban for us to find, on Sunday morning - but who suddenly appeared on the street with us (we were especially excited to find two women included - after most of us noticed just the men) (pictured above)
- a reunion with Gloria, a mission co-worker in Coban married to Roger, and Delia, a Nazarene pastor in Coban who had preached at Crescent Hill, at the Nazarene Center
- four of us in a cab Monday afternoon arriving at the Nazarene Center after the cab driver couldn´t find it initially
Thanks to God for these reunions and many other things. Two wishes for Tuesday and Wednesday: many other good experiences with our Guatemalan partners and additional sleep.
More (and some photos) later.
